Information regarding Selection criteria (Open Seats)

Neighbourhood - Localities and areas will be considered on the basis of aerial distance.
Siblings - Only real brother or sister of existing students of the school (VGS) will be considered. No extra points for girl child or third sibling.
First Child:- An affidavit duly signed by both the parents (Affidavit to be submitted at the time of admission only, in case the child is selected).

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR OPEN SEATS

(i)	Admission shall first be offered to applicants securing the highestpoints. If the number of candidates obtaining the highest pointsexceeds the number of available seats, the final selection shall bemade through an online draw of lots, in accordance with theprovisions prescribed by the DOE vide Notification No.F.DE.15(172)/PSB/2016/9179–9188 dated 22.11.2025.
(ii)	In the event of any vacancies remaining unfilled afteraccommodating all candidates securing the highest points, theremaining seats shall be offered to candidates with the next highestpoints, and subsequently in descending order, as per the prescribedadmission schedule.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION

It would be preferable that the online form be filled.

You are advised to fill in only one form - either Online OR Offline, to avoid cancellation of both the forms. The school cannot be held responsible for any error in this context. Please read this page completely and understand it before filling the Registration Form.

The admission process would be as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Education from time to time. (Please refer to the disclaimer).
Total number of seats in Pre School/ Nursery are 196. [General category-108, EWS/DG – 49, Management Quota-39].
The minimum age required for registration is 3 years and the maximum is less than 4 years as on 31st March, 2026. (Children born between 01.4.2022 to 31.3.2023 - both dates inclusive, are eligible for admission in Pre-School/Nursery).
The age relaxation for admission of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the Head of the school in the minimum & upper age limits for Pre-School/Nursery. The parents may approach the Principal for seeking age relaxation through a manual application.
Registration forms will be available ONLINE from December 04, 2025 onwardstill December 27, 2025 at school’s website (VGS.CO.IN). Submit the detailsonline and pay Registration Fee of Rs. 25/- as instructed. You will receive anacknowledgement mail with registration number and online payment details
Registration forms (OFFLINE) can also be collected from School Gate No. 1 andthe same can be submitted to school w.e.f. December 04, 2025 till December 27,2025 between 9.00 am to 12.00 noon, except for Second Saturday and holidays.However, on the last day, the duly completed Forms can be submitted upto-04.00pm.
No supporting documents are to be submitted along with theRegistration Form as the same are to submitted at the time ofverification only, in case the child is selected.
Verification of original documents supporting the information given in theregistration form will be done only for applicants whose names would appear inthe first or the second list, to be displayed on January 23, 2026 and February 09, 2026 (if required, in case seats are not filled by the first draw of lots).Display date of last list (if required) is 05.03.2026.
Medical concerns (if any) including the child with special needs has to be declared compulsorily in medical information column. Suppression of information will be considered as incorrect information.

Original documents required at the time of Verification(Only for selected candidates)

Birth Certificate and Adhaar Card of the child is mandatory.
Fee Receipt or Student’s identity Card in case of siblings (real).
Affidavit for First born child by the Parents.(No affidavit required if first born is a girl child)
Address proof (any one as allowed by the DOE) from the listed documents.

i. Ration card/Smart Card issued in the name of parents (Mother/Father) with the name of the child.
ii. Domicile certificate of the child or of his/her parents.
iii. Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
iv. Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or the child.
v. Aadhaar card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parents.

Any other, as allowed by the DOE.
