April 6, 2026 Subject: Three-Language Format in Class VI Dear Parents, This is to inform you that the Central Board of Secondary Education has introduced certain changes for the academic session 2026–27, as per the curriculum released on April 4, 2026. In line with the latest curricular updates in language teaching: - English will be taught as R1, and Hindi will continue as R2. - Sanskrit will be introduced as the third language (R3). - French and German will be offered as fourth languages. The third language (Sanskrit) will be allotted two periods per week as part of the regular school timetable. For the current academic year, students are not required to purchase any textbooks for Sanskrit, as the classes will be conducted using shared online modules and worksheets. The fourth language will be conducted once a week during the assembly period. If required, additional classes may be scheduled online on working Saturdays. Please note that the three languages (R1, R2, and R3) are compulsory, whereas the fourth language is optional. In case of any concerns or queries, you may write to us at vgsrohini@gmail.com. We will ensure that all clarifications are provided at the earliest. We request your continued support and cooperation in the smooth implementation of these changes. Warm regards, Dr. Namita Singhal Principal
